About Our Music Program

We have six groups that bring a message through song to the congregation!

The Chancel Choir sings every Sunday and is made up of a very talented group of vocalists and Mary Ann Lauver accompanying on the piano. This choir is directed by Ed Van Wicklen. This choir is made up of Tenor, Bass, Alto & Soprano singers! We practice on Thursday evenings from 7-8p.m. at the church.

The Adult Bell Choir plays periodically throughout the year. There are eight members who play 2 octaves of bells. This group is directed by Ed Van Wicklen.

The Concert Choir performs the Christmas Cantata each year right before Christmas. The Cantata is 45 minutes long and tells a story and includes choir members and a narrator. This piece surely tells the message of the birth of our Savior and brings great meaning to Christmas. This group is directed by Ed VanWicklen.

The Gospelaires is made up of about eight members that sing periodically throughout the year. They are known for signing some of the old good time gospel songs.

The Youth Bell Choir also performs periodically and is open to all youth from grades 5 - 12.

The Praise Team this group meets weekly to lead the congregation in contemporary style music. This is a new addition to the music program. We practice Saturday evenings from 6-7:30p.m.

During the summer months, our Adult Chancel Choir does not perform but we have soloists, groups and instrumentalists perform during the services. We also offer a good old-fashioned Sing-A-Long, picking hymns from our older hymnals. At this time, we choose about three hymns to sing and get everyone involved in the ministry of music. It's a fun time and offers a great spiritual lift to bring back some of the 'good old gospel songs.'

We work hard, we have a good time and we are a great family that cares for one another! Our ministry involves praising our Lord but also a care for our fellow 'man'. If you feel a calling to be a part of the music at Pine Grove, see Ed Van Wicklen. Or you can email him at 'Ed'.
